Free backlink verifier: is your link still live?

Paste the page that should link to you and your own website. The verifier opens the page, finds every link to your domain, and tells you if each one is live, dofollow or nofollow, plus its anchor text. It also flags a page that is set to noindex.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if a backlink is still live?

Open the page that links to you and look for your link in the content, or paste both addresses into this verifier. It reads the page as published and lists every link pointing at your domain.

Why did my backlink disappear?

The usual reasons are a site redesign, the post being edited or deleted, or the owner swapping the link for a paid one. Check links you care about every few months so you can ask for them back quickly.

What if the page blocks the checker?

Some hosts block automated visitors. The verifier says when it could not read the page, which is not the same as the link being gone. Open the page in your browser to confirm.

Does a link on a noindex page count?

Much less. A noindex page is kept out of Google's results, and over time Google may stop following its links too. A link on an indexed page is worth more.
