Free site speed checker

Paste a page address to see how fast it loads. The score comes from Google's PageSpeed Insights, which runs Lighthouse on the page for both mobile and desktop and grades it from 0 to 100. Below the score you get the Core Web Vitals that explain it.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good PageSpeed score?

Google's Lighthouse grades 90 to 100 as good, 50 to 89 as needs improvement and under 50 as poor. Mobile scores are usually lower than desktop because the test simulates a slower phone and network.

What are Core Web Vitals?

They are Google's measures of real loading experience. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) should be 2.5 seconds or less, Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) 0.1 or less, and Interaction to Next Paint (INP) 200 milliseconds or less.

Does site speed affect Google rankings?

Yes, but as one signal among many. Google uses page experience, including Core Web Vitals, when ranking, yet a fast page with no backlinks still struggles. Speed keeps visitors on the page; links decide whether they find it.

Why is my score different each time I test?

Lighthouse runs a fresh lab test every time, and server response, ads and third-party scripts vary between runs. A swing of a few points is normal. Test two or three times and look at the trend.
